The mind is very powerful. This is why phrases like “mind over matter” and “it's all in your mind” has spawned popular usage throughout the ages. These phrases recognize the mind's power in controlling the body, one's emotions, desires, etc. Hypnosis taps in the mind's very power and uses that same power for self-improvement.
Being hypnotized may seem like an unnerving experience, but in truth the state of being hypnotized can be sourced in to tap many benefits—which includes but is not limited to weight loss, getting over an unrequited love and smoking. Since the discovery of the benefits of hypnosis, more and more people are turning to it as an alternative form of therapy, and even more and more people are satisfied with the results.
The science behind hypnosis is simple: to put one in a very relaxed state where suggestibility and awareness are heightened. In this state, the mind is more conscious of the suggestions thus making it easier to follow the suggestions or to tap in the desired answers waiting in the corners of the mind. While some may think that hypnosis is a New Age or Occult practice, it is actually based on science. And anything scientific is based on fact, thus making it effective and a proven method.
For those who aim for self-improvement—programming the mind to quit smoking, desire weight loss, or even get over a scorned lover—hypnosis is a great alternative to other forms of treatment characterized by letting the mind be in control of the body and necessarily helping one's well being.

Why Use Subliminal Messaging?
You have probably asked yourself at some stage what the point of listening to inaudible subliminal messages is. How is it that something I can’t actually hear is having an effect on my mind. You have probably even tried regular affirmations and are wondering what the difference is between those and subliminal messages. The answer is that an affirmation is something you are fully conscious of, in other words, the suggestion is supposed to reach you mind via your conscious. However, lets say that your conscious mind is very stubborn and that you have had the same thought patterns since when you were very young, in all probability, your mind will reject the suggestions. If you have serious issues which stem from growing up with an abusive parent and you try to tell yourself that you deserve to be in a positive, loving relationship, your conscious mind will intervene as it believes the statement to be false.
Subliminal messaging allows this suggestion to go directly to the subconscious mind without being sabotaged by the conscious mind and therefore you can make changes which you couldn’t have done if the information was sent via your conscious mind.
This is not to say that you should disregard conscious thought and action towards your goals. In fact listening to subliminal MP3’s when combined with conscious action will ensure you are more focused your goal and make you more likely to reach it. It should be stated, however, that unless you really desire the change, the messages are not likely to take.
How you listen is completely up to you. You can listen while you relax, while you work or while you sleep – you can even listen to more than one album at once. If you are serious about making a change in your life, then listen as much as you can. After some time, you should feel your motivations taking a different direction. Then you will know you are on the way to reaching your goals. ıf you would like to get a better idea about how subliminal messaging works or you would like to access some sample subliminal MP3's, just click here.

Subliminal Persuasion
Subliminal persuasion has occurred whenever a message has been percieved by our sub-conscious mind and bypassed by our conscious mind. This message may arrive in the form of a visual or aural stimulus which 'escapes' being percieved by our ordinary senses. An example of this is subliminal advertising which makes us suddenly desire popcorn or coke. In fact our minds are constantly being influenced subliminally. It is possible to use subliminal persuasion to change our beliefs about ourselves, which in turn can lead to focussing our mind on new goals and changing our behaviour patterns.
